Over the past fortnight we had Stuart Wilcox (Ora Pharm Chair) and Blake Smith (Ora Pharm CSO) visit New Zealand to see the operations, meet with media, investors, regulators, and ministers throughout the country. As global medicinal cannabis experts, it was great to introduce them to New Zealand as intergral members of the Ora Pharm team.
The trip started in Auckland, with a site tour where we had our local MP and the police sargent join us. The next day we started the roadshow with the three sessions in Auckland, Stuart then took a quick break between sessions to be interviewed by Madison Reidy for an in-depth segment on the Medicinal Cannabis industry in New Zealand that she is working on, to be released in a few weeks time.
Next, we travelled to Wellington, where we met with more investors and the executive director of the New Zealand Medicinal Cannabis Council (NZMCC). We later returned to Wellington after Christchurch and Queenstown to meet with the regulators followed by a meeting at the Beehive.
After a whirlwind adventure, our US visitors headed home for some much needed rest. They have however started planning their next trip to New Zealand.
